The Bezel Diamond Open Ring

Two graduated lines of round diamonds meet across the finger, creating a composition that changes in scale as the eye moves through it.

Ten lab-grown diamonds, ranging from 0.045 to 0.18 carats, are arranged in an intentionally varied sequence rather than a uniform row. The largest stones sit toward the center, with smaller diamonds tapering toward the ends.

Made in 14k yellow gold, the ring balances the movement of the diamonds with a clean, considered gold structure.

Different proportions. One continuous gesture.

The Piece

The design is built around variation.

Instead of repeating one stone size across the band, the diamonds graduate from smaller rounds at the ends toward larger stones at the center. Two lines of diamonds create a layered effect across the finger, giving the ring its asymmetrical character.

The changing scale keeps the eye moving across the design. The gold remains deliberately restrained beneath it, allowing the diamonds to establish the rhythm.

It is not a conventional band, and it does not need to behave like one.

Diamond Breakdown

The Diamonds

Ten round lab-grown diamonds form two graduated lines across the upper portion of the ring.

The stones range from 0.045 to 0.18 carats, with the larger diamonds positioned toward the center and progressively smaller stones moving outward.

Together, they total 1.03 carats.

The diamonds are selected in E/F color and VS clarity, giving the varied arrangement a consistent visual character despite the differences in stone size.

The result is less about uniform repetition and more about movement: smaller, larger, smaller; a sequence that gives the ring its shape.

The Gold

The ring is made in 14k yellow gold, with an approximate gold weight of 3.10 grams.

The gold structure follows the movement of the two diamond lines, providing enough substance to support the graduated stones while remaining visually secondary to them.

The lower band measures approximately 2.20 mm, while the upper structure reaches approximately 2.70 mm in thickness.

Why This Piece

Uniformity is easy.

Graduation requires more thought.

The stones in this ring are not identical in size. They move from smaller to larger, then back through the composition, creating a controlled change in scale.

That variation is what gives the ring its character.

The eye notices the diamonds first. Then the pattern reveals itself.

Designed to Be Lived In

The ring is designed to move between contexts.

Worn alone, the graduated diamonds give it enough presence to stand on its own. Worn alongside other rings, its asymmetrical arrangement introduces a different rhythm rather than simply repeating another band.

It does not depend on a particular occasion.

It depends on being worn.

What's good is worn, not kept safe. A softened edge or a faint scratch is not damage; it is evidence of a life lived in it.
