The Pear Diamond Wave Signet Ring
Fine Jewelry | Made to order
A single pear, set at the point where a band crosses itself. The shank loops past the stone and returns, leaving the diamond to sit slightly off-axis.
The Piece
The band follows a soft bypass, twisting past the setting before it closes. The pear is held in eagle prongs at the crossing, its point angled into the line of the band. It is a small ring with a lot of movement — the stone and the shank never quite line up, and that is deliberate.

Why This Piece
A pear can be set upright and symmetrical. Setting it at a bypass instead lets the stone tilt into the band, so the ring reads as a gesture rather than a statement.
Designed to Be Lived In
Every Alva piece is made by hand in 14k gold and lab-grown diamonds, and made to order after you place it. It is not set aside for occasions — it is measured by the years of wear ahead of it, not the moment it was bought.
Care
What's good is worn, not kept safe. A softened edge or a faint scratch is not damage; it is evidence of a life lived in it.
| Wearing it | Put it on last, after lotion and perfume have dried. Take it off first, before swimming, heavy exercise, or exposure to household chemicals. |
| Cleaning it | Clean with warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft-bristled brush. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Skip ultrasonic cleaners on delicate settings and abrasive polishes altogether. |
| Storing it | Store separately so metal does not scratch metal. |
| Professional care | Have the setting checked once a year. White gold may need replating every few years; yellow and rose gold simply deepen in color instead. |

Cared for simply, a piece settles further into a life, and the mark it takes on becomes part of what it is worth.
